New Guayaberas & Cuban Shirts

A Cuban shirt is a short sleeve camp or spread collar shirt with guayabera pleats or embroidery, lighter and more casual than a full guayabera. This new Mojito Collection edit pairs five embroidered Cuban shirts with six new cotton blend and stretch guayaberas.

11 products

This edit gathers the eleven newest Cuban shirts and guayaberas at Mojito Collection that are not 100% linen. Five are embroidered Cuban shirts, also called guayamisas, and six are guayaberas in cotton blend and stretch fabrics. Together they come in 49 colorways, from white and black to sage, salmon, cranberry and raspberry.

The Cuban shirts are cut in a stretch poly-rayon fabric that moves with the body. The Double Embroidered and Geometric Embroidered styles run floral or diamond embroidery down a camp collar front with no pocket. The Retro Pleats style adds pin-tuck pleats and one chest pocket, the Flap Pocket style brings western yokes, and the Satin Piping style trims its pleats in a soft sheen. Each one wears easily with linen or chino shorts, and the resort wear collection has more to pair.

The six guayaberas sit a step dressier. The Pin-Tuck Bamboo and Triple Pleat styles use lightweight stretch fabrics with two chest pockets, built for long days. The Tonal Embroidered and Pinstripe styles are short sleeve cotton blend with two chest pockets, one with tonal embroidery between the pleats and one with textured stripe panels. The two long sleeve styles, Contrast Trim and Dobby Weave, close with French cuffs, cufflinks included, and suit a wedding guest or an evening event; the wedding collection covers the rest of the look.

Every style in this edit runs S to 2XL. For classic four pocket cuts and 100% linen, browse the full range of men's guayabera shirts. Each product page lists exact measurements, and all items not marked Final Sale come with free 30-day returns and exchanges.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • A guayabera is a traditional shirt with vertical pleats, chest pockets and a straight hem made to be worn untucked. A Cuban shirt, often called a guayamisa, borrows the pleats or embroidery but uses a camp or spread collar and fewer pockets, so it reads more casual. Mojito Collection makes both in this edit.
  • It depends on the style. Of the five new Mojito Collection embroidered Cuban shirts, the Double Embroidered and Geometric Embroidered styles have no pocket, so the embroidery runs clean down the front. The Retro Pleats and Satin Piping styles carry one chest pocket, and the Flap Pocket style has a button-flap pocket with western yokes.
  • Yes. Both long sleeve French cuff guayaberas in this edit, the Contrast Trim and the Dobby Weave styles, ship with cufflinks included, as every French cuff item at Mojito Collection does. The Dobby Weave comes in 8 colors and the Contrast Trim in 6, all cotton blend in sizes S to 2XL.
  • A wedding guest is best served by one of the two long sleeve French cuff cotton blend guayaberas, in white or a soft color such as lavender or mint. For a beach or daytime celebration, the Pinstripe or Tonal Embroidered short sleeve guayabera keeps two chest pockets in a short sleeve cut. Pair either with light trousers.
